what i want (at the moment, anyway):

i think in the world/game of dating, it’s important to know what you want. don’t be stupid enough to pass on something great because they don’t cross every T on your checklist, but have some vague idea as to what you’re looking for. kind of like furniture or wedding dress shopping? you go out knowing some basic qualities needed for the item to work. same goes for relationships, i think. so while i sit here in my empty london house, nightcap in hand - here’s what i’d like in a guy, if I was going to be picky: 

- someone to watch DeNiro films with, who won’t mind the fact that I find DeNiro more and more adorable as he gets older. same goes with 30 rock & alec baldwin.

- someone who’s got a good record collection, and knows exactly what to pop on the old turntable when i’m around

- someone who can listen well. (this is key) 

- someone who appreciates my efforts

- someone handsome in an old movie kind of way, yet still unpolished

- someone who likes me when i’m a lioness and a lamb. (http://www.theroot.com/views/single-minded-i-am-dr-faye)

- someone who refuses to settle, and still believes in (monogamous!) romance. 

- a real, bonafide man..with childlike charm. not a boy with gentlemanly moments. (also very key) 

- someone who wants to be swept away into a world of daydreamy adventure, but down to earth enough in reality. a realistic romantic.

…that’s it! i know, i’m a picky son of a gun. this is just a wishlist. we can all dream, yeah? xo
