Standard #65: You Can’t Hate The World Cup/People That Watch It

For about one month, every four years soccer/football fans in the United States get some love. I’m so sick of hearing people complain about “all this soccer coverage”, during the Superbowl I have to deal with all the football coverage (not that I hate football but I’m making a point). In the US when’s the last time, other than the World Cup or something about David Beckham, you saw soccer coverage on ESPN or your local sports network? I’m going to assume next to never. If you’re dating me or another soccer fan when the World Cup is on please don’t complain. Can you just let us enjoy this month and not ruin it with your whining please?
