calling bullshit: plan making via delayed texts

I’ve done a post on texting etiquette, which you can read HERE .

But (as I currently wait around for some douchebag — albeit friend & nothing more— to text me back) , I figured I’d take the time to post about one of my biggest pet peeves. Any guy who has the audacity to make you wait around for hours for a text after making solid plans with you prior is a real class act. Clearly, he doesn’t want to see you that much - and honestly, you shouldn’t pine over seeing him if he can’t even take two seconds to either cancel your plans with a call or be responsible and answer in a timely manner without leaving you in the dark. I wouldn’t take that kind of shit from my friends, so I don’t see why we should change the rule for our  romantic interests in the least. 

To clarify, I’m not talking about twenty minutes. That’s acceptable once in a while, life gets busy. I mean hours upon hours of just mindless waiting! I mean, what kind of cruel joke is that? The kind of joke that you shouldn’t allow to be had at your expense, and not the kind I’d lovingly laugh at. There’s some guy (or girl) out there who will not only text you on time, but do so with kind remarks and maybe even pick you up at your front door right on time. That’s the kind of person you should be using those hours looking for, instead of wasting them away on some jerk. xo
